Who is the science teacher at St. Edward School?

Greetings! My name is Katherine Lebus Rush (Kathy), and I teach science to grades one through five. For those of you who do not already know me, I am a native of Harrison County. My family has lived in Harrison county since 1857. I attended Harrison County High School, received my bachelors degree in special education and elementary education from the University of Kentucky and my masters degree from Georgetown College. I taught in the the Harrison County school district for thirty years, and I have been teaching at St.Edward for the last two years.

I am married to Neil Rush who has a dental practice in Cynthiana. We have three adult children and one grandchild who lives in London, Ontario with his parents.

Teaching students at St. Edward School is a pleasure. Students receive a well rounded education focused on educating the" whole child" academically, spiritually, and physically. Children are nurtured at St. Edward and encouraged to develop their innate spiritual qualities - their open, curious, loving ways; and their instinct to respond from the heart. Together we discuss what it means to be a good person, how to treat others, what it means to be empathetic and compassionate, and why we need to take care of our earth. This is how they will change the world and make it a better place for all. I am thankful to be a part of St. Edward School.
