My name is Kendra Cooper. I teach fifth grade Reading, Spelling, and Grammar, first through fifth grade Math, and first through fifth grade Computers. I have been teaching since December 2002, where I started teaching in Nicholas County. After teaching there for almost five years, I had the opportunity to come to St. Edward School.
After I graduated from high school, I worked in an office factory for almost eight years before deciding to return to college to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. In December 2002, I graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Then, in 2011, I graduated from Georgetown College with a Masters of Arts in Education with a Technology Endorsement.
I believe St. Edward School is a great place to prepare individuals for their future. It teaches them the content material, but also helps them grow spiritually in their faith and teaches values, respect, and responsibility. The students are very caring to one another. All three of my daughters attended St. Edward School. They all did great after transferring from St. Edward to the public school system once they graduated from St. Edward School.
I am married to Allen Cooper. We have three daughters and six grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, and swimming.
