Elementary School

Saint Edward Catholic School is accredited by the Kentucky Non-Public Schools Commission and is a member of the National Catholic Education Association.

We are one of 29 Catholic elementary schools and 9 secondary schools of the   Department of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Covington.

Students learn skills needed to problem solve, write, and read effectively as well as excel in math and science. Students are well positioned to continue in their education as skilled learners.

Saint Edward Catholic School participates in the National Lunch Program and no student is turned away for the inability to pay tuition. This underlies our philosophy that learning is for everyone and everyone can learn. Because our curriculum is student-driven, goals and objectives are tailored for each student assuring the highest quality education and the greatest growth and success for each learner.

All preschool /school families are expected to volunteer for a minimum of 25 hours at major fundraising events such as the Christmas candy, Dairy Queen Nights, the Lenten Fish Fry, the Ice Cream Social, the Summer Concert Series, Rod Run, etc. Another requirement for volunteering is that you must be VIRTUS trained. Go to www.virtus.org and sign up for a Virtus account. You will then be prompted to go ahead and submit information for a background check, which costs $25. I, the parent or guardian, agree that I am responsible to volunteer a minimum of 25 hours between June 2025 and May 2026 or opt to pay the Fundraising Rate in lieu of volunteering. I understand that to be eligible to volunteer I, and any other volunteers on my behalf, must be in good standing with my/their VIRTUS training. I understand that if I have not met the required volunteer hours by the end of May 2026, I am responsible for paying the remaining hours x $40 per hour. ($1,000/25 = $40 per hour).
